Securail
The Securail anchoring system is
approved by APAVE

Certificate number 2716318 in straight line and curve according to 3 configurations, in accordance with standard class D and EN 353/1.

Securail is approved for 2 people located between to successive anchors, and 4 people over the length of the rail. The forces supported by the structure in the event of a fall are low - 6kN. Securail is particularly well suited to situations where the head room under the rail is limited and/or where the structure is fragile. The distance between two anchors lies between 2 and 5 meters.

The Securail comprises a rail fixed to the structure of the building on which one (or several) trolleys can move. After a fall only the sectionof rail located at the place of the fall needs to be replaced.

It is possible to equip existing ladder systems with Securail, using the available accessories make the system very flexible.

The rail can be easily fixed to the steel structure of an electric pylon. This system ensures the safety of operational during ascending the pylon, while also providing safe accesses to the pylon's horizontal arms.

Vertical Shafs used to access sewers present a high risk of falling. We propose to ensure the safety of maintenance staff entering such access shafts as soon as they lift the manhole cover to go down the access ladder. This is done by means of a removable section equiped with a safety rail.

The Fallprotec rail system is designed to be permanently installed on a ladder and other vertical or inclined structure such as pylons, buildings, shafts or sewers where maintenance workers are exposed to a risk of falling when performing their work.

Versatility
The rail mounts on the ground, the wall or the ceiling. The rail is bent along two directions for wall or ground configuration.

Securope
The life-line Securope is a cable anchorage systam consisting of anchors fixed to the structure of a building, and a cable to which one more gliders are connected to the user via a lanyard and a harness.

A curve is formed between 2 intermediate anchors and is maintained in place by rings crimped at each curve ends.

-Intermediate anchor
-Tested in curves by APAVE
-Perfect tensionning of the line thoughout its length
-Energy absorption device is installed on the intermediate anchor to reduce loading on fragile structure
-The line is fixed by means of distribution plate on metal sheet roofing
-Versability: The line mounts on the ground, the wall or the ceiling

Harnesses

Prolight
Great freedom of movement
Light weight - only 750 gr. for the size L
Three sizes - M-L-XL

Range of harness
Fallprotec has developed a range of quality harnesses and accessories to meet the latest requirements for his high evolutionary market. The Fallprotec's patent, number EP05109762.4 covers the entire range of our harnesses. The innovation covers the distributions of forces on the body in the event of a fall and reduces the risk of suspension trauma. The key feature of this patent is to transfer the body's weight from compressing the femoral arteries between the legs, to the person's posterior or seat. This is achieved by the supporting strap which forms a seat under the body. This reduces the possibility of suspension trauma, which results from the restriction of the flow of blood to the legs.

Pronto
The Pronto harness also profits from the innovation to reduce the risk of
suspension trauma. Nevertheless, we recommend using the Prolight harness if
there is a risk of being suspended for more than a minute, should a fall occur.

Urban
The Urban harness has all the advantages of the Prolight harness, with some
further improvements to reduce the risk of suspension trauma.

If you know you are going to be suspended for awhile, then take the aerial seat with you, because the best way to prevent from suspension trauma is never to get into a position where it can start.

Safety

Fallprotec will make an assessment of the PPE requirements on your
building as required by the Personal Protective Equipment at Work
Regulations 1992

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require
employees to identify and assess all risks to health and safety that are
presenting the workplace.

This is that the most appropriate means of reducing the risks to an
acceptable level can be determined.  Personal Protective equipment (PPE)
should always be regarded as the last resort in protecting against risks
to health and safety. Where possible, work should be carried out using
other methods that do not require the use of PPE, or more effective
safeguards should be put into place. In circumstances or situations
where this cannot be achieved, or where the risks still cannot be
adequately controlled, PPE should be used and the PPE at work
regulations will take effect.

Legislation include:

-The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
-COSHH Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations
-2002 - The Personal Protective Equipment At Work Regulations 1992
-Workplace (Health and Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
-The Confined Spaces Regulations 1997
-The Construction (Health and Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996
-The Provision of Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
-The Lifting Operations and Lift Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER)

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is defined in the Regulations as
"all equipment (including clothing for or in protection against
weather)" which is intended to be worn or held by a person at work and
which protects them against one or more risks to his health or safety,
e.g. safety helmets, gloves, eye protection, high visibility clothing,
safety footwear and safety harnesses.

Fallprotec audit ensures that all existing PPE meets the necessary
European and British Standards and that equipment carries the CE mark.
The risk assessment process, together with building arrangements (i.e.
(Permit to work systems) should identify all requirements for PPE.

A register of all PPE is issued and thereafter maintained and signed for
by the recipient. The register identifies a process of recording
inspections of the equipment by a competent member of staff. Training of
staff is included within the training plan to allow a member of staff to
be able to identify defects in equipment and responsible for inspection
expiry dates and all relevant legislation.
